Merlin Figg was at it again on Sunday morning in Rickley Park, last time he made a miraculous recovery.
This time however he was never headed as Merlin won the Top Club two wood singles with ends to spare, to set St. Martins on the road to another remarkable victory, this time over Aylesbury Hazells.
This win was rather more comfortable than the last round with John Howlett taking the four Wood singles, Pete Brazier and Bev Cursley the pairs, Gerry Sharpe, Colin Higton and Tony Hill the triples.
The only downside was Allan New, John Coleman, John Herbert and Terry Keep, who unfortunately lost the fours by one shot, denying the Rickley Park club a clean sweep.
The next round is against local rivals Stony Stratford.
