Metz claim Dons have signed Belson
Confusion surrounds capture of midfielder
French second division side Metz claim that midfilder Flavien Belson has joined MK Dons on a season-long loan.
But Roberto Di Matteo told the Citizen today that a deal for the highly-rated 21-year-old has not yet be done.
"We are looking to tie a deal with the boy, it hasn't been done yet, we haven't agreed anything, but it is a player we are interested in," he said.
"If we had the money it would be a permanent deal, but we don't so it will be a season-long loan."
Describing the player he said: "He's a midfield player, U21 for France, has come through the youth academy at Metz and looks like a good player."
And the Dons boss said there is no update on the Keith Andrews situation, who mysteriously missed Saturday's game with Northampton and has been linked with a move away.
Although he was training with the squad today.
He said: "We will just keep monitoring the situation.
"We are not releasing any public information at the moment so there is nothing I can say."
"I have no idea if he will feature on Saturday."
