CRYSTAL Palace striker Ibra Sekajja has joined MK Dons until the new year.

The 20-year-old Ugandan-English forward has signed a youth-loan deal and goes straight into Karl Robinson’s squad to face Leyton Orient tonight (Wednesday).

He has also been given permission to play in the FA Cup first round replay against Cambridge City next Tuesday.

Sekajja made his first-team debut for the Eagles in April 2011, having impressed in their U18 side by netting 20 goals, and scored with his first touch in professional football in Palace’s 1-1 draw with Hull City.

“We have been looking at Ibra for some time now,” said Dons manager Robinson. “He’s a player who has come on leaps and bounds at Crystal Palace in the last few months.

“I spoke to Dougie Freedman on a number of occasions about him because he’s exactly what we need in the team at the moment – he’s young, fearless, and fast.

“We watched Ibra play against Middlesbrough’s development team on Monday night and I’m delighted Ian Holloway has allowed one of his starlets to join us for the next two months.”
