MILTON Keynes Kings will continue next season playing home games at Solihull's Hobs Moat rink 50 miles from their home city.
The Findus British National League on Wednesday accepted an application from a new company to run Kings called Lasting Sports Ltd.
Its directors are player-coach Rick Strachan, Mike Pack and wife Sue, plus Julia Critchley.
The side will be known as Solihull MK Kings a requirement of the FBNL being that the team include the town from which they are playing as the first name in the title.
Strachan's beaming face told the good news even before it was announced at a meeting of supporters on Thursday evening.
He said he will be director of hockey operations with a role encompassing the playing side of the venture.
He hopes to be able to name at least four of his first signings by Wednesday.
He told Thursday's meeting at Bradwell Common that Kings' entry had been accepted subject to a couple of administrative requirements to be completed by tomorrow.
"When we've done these then we'll be accepted by the FBNL on Tuesday."
Sue Pack said last week's appeal to raise 25,000 from fans did not quite reach its target but enough was promised to give the new company confidence to press ahead with the move.
Kings were forced to find a new home after Planet Ice ejected the team.
