Richard Abra will be joined by one of the most famous names in motorsport as he gets ready for the Barcelona 24 Hours race.
Abra, from Downs Barn, will be partnered by regular team-mate Mark Poole in the race around the Circuit de Catalunya, but will be joined by Aston Martin factory drivers Stefan Mucke and former F1 driver Bruno Senna.
Senna, nephew of three-times F1 champion Ayrton, was racing for Williams F1 team last season before switiching his focus to GT racing this year.
And Abra believes the team are capable of winning.
Abra said: “I love 24 Hour racing so I’m really looking forward to this one.
“I’ve never been to the Barcelona circuit, so it’ll be a good learning experienec but it’s one I’m really looking forward to.
“We have a great car and team backed up with strong support from Aston Martin Racing, so we have every chance of repeating some of the success Mark and I enjoyed at the Silverstone 24 hours last year.
“The grid looks big so staying out of trouble will be key and I’m really excited about driving with Bruno and Stefan.”
This season has been hit and miss for Abra in the British GT Championship though.
He said: “We’ve been taken out by a lot of the slower cars this season, with some guys racing way above their level.
“But that’s the way it goes sometimes, but we’ve showed some good form when we’ve been able to race.”
