Despite mechanical faults, broken throttle cables and circuits covered in snow, Joe Turney was crowned the Shenington Iame Winter Champion.
The 11-year-old Fulbrook student landed two victories from the three winter rounds at the Oxfordshire circuit to hand him the title on Sunday.
Mum Siobhan said: “It’s a great title to win, and good to get one under the belt early in the year.
“It was a great grid of drivers to beat, especially with the troubles we’ve had getting used to the new engine.”
Joe will move on to compete the British Championships which get under way in May.
