Andrew Jarman returned to the podium in the third round of the British GT Championship at Rockingham last Sunday.
Taking third place at ‘The Rock’ was enough to keep the MK racer and team-mate Devon Modell on top of the standings, with three podiums in a row.
The TF Sport team didn’t make life easy for themselves though.
With Modell unable to qualify, Jarman’s Aston Martin V8 Vantage had to start at the back of the 39-car field.
But his progressed was slowed considerably when he picked up a rear puncture, which, incredibly, he managed for 25 laps.
After completing the obligatory 20-second time penalty for winning the previous round, Modell took over the car and battled with fellow Milton Keynes racer Jamie Stanley’s Ginetta for third place, which he managed to take and defend until the chequered flag dropped.
After the race, Jarman said: “Third place is a great effort by the whole team this weekend.
“We didn’t make life easy for ourselves starting from the back but to get three podiums from three races is a great result and some solid points for the championship.
“I wanted to get through the first corner cleanly and then focused on moving up the field.
“I’d picked up a slow puncture and was unable to catch the front two, but Devon did a good job to hold our position and from where we started it’s a great result.”
