After taking huge penalties at the Austrian Grand Prix, Red Bull Racing are hoping for a much better time at Silverstone this weekend.

The British Grand Prix is just 20 miles away from the team’s Tilbrook factory and is the second home race for the team.

Last time out at the Red Bull Ring, both Daniel Ricciardo and Daniil Kvyat had to take 10 place grid penalties when the pair were forced to use their fifth engines of the season.

But with no penalties expected ahead of the race at Silverstone, Red Bull believe they can improve on the disappointing run of results of late, and pick up some valuable points.

And they’re keen to put on a show in front of the employees from the factory, many of whom will be in attendance during the course of the weekend.

“It’s great for people back at base to see the cars they build in action,” said team boss Christian Horner.

“It won’t be an easy weekend by any means, but throw in a bit of British summer weather and you never know!

“The attitude in the team is the same as always - heads down, tails up and just going for it.

“That’s how we’ve always gone racing, and that’s how we’ll continue.”
