Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo have agreed to ‘race hard’ if they go head-to-head again in Spain this weekend.
The Red Bull Racing pair have twice battled for position in the opening four races of the season, with world champion Vettel ordered to let his team-mate through both times.
Last time out in China, Vettel appeared to ignore the order, before eventually yielding to the Australian.
But Ricciardo says the pair have talked and want to race watch other fairly.
“We even told each other that we want to race hard,” Ricciardo said. “I want to race the best version of Seb and he wants to race the best version of me.
“At the end of the day I think we’ll both respect whoever’s done a better job.”
