This weekend marks the final time Sebastian Vettel will don the overalls of Red Bull Racing, ending a career-long association with the team.
Sunday’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be Vettel’s 113th start for the Tilbrook team – a career which has seen him win four world championships, 39 wins and gain 65 podium finishes.
Although his destination next season is still yet to be officially confirmed, it is the world’s worst kept secret that Vettel is heading for Ferrari, to replace outward-bound Fernando Alonso.
The 2014 season hasn’t been one to remember for the reigning world champion.
Struggling to come to terms with the RB10, Vettel has been outshone by team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, who has won three races this season, while Vettel hasn’t visited the top step all season.
Vettel’s departure brings to an end one of the most successful partnerships in the sport’s history – one which has ensured both his name and that of Red Bull Racing are instilled in the record books.
