Jeff Wyatt made it back-to-back GT Cup GTA Championships by securing the 2014 title at Oulton Park at the weekend.
The final two sprint races saw Jeff claim a 4th and a 3rd place finish, which was enough to allow him to claim back to back Class titles in the National, multi-marque multi class GT Championship, as well as third overall.
Consistency was the key to claiming the trophies , Jeff and his Geoff Steel Racing prepared BMW E46 M3 only recorded one DNF throughout the 39 race long stretch from the start of the 2013 campaign to last weekends final two race outing of 2014 at Oulton Park.
Lady luck also played its part for Jeff as at the start of the last race some six cars were caught up in a major start line shunt right in front of him.
“Apart from a failing clutch at Snetterton which meant we finished last in two races there and this weekends broken alternator which was easily fixed, the car never failed me and gave me the confidence to constantly push,” said Wyatt.
“It’s been a cracking run and it was great to keep the pressure on for the overall title right up to the last day.”
