CITY driver Jordan Stilp has enjoyed another spell of quality results, racing in the Ma5da MK3 Championship at the age of just 17.

Stilp won all three races at Castle Combe back in June, and took his magnificent form into the next round at Brands Hatch where he earned two 2nd place finishes.

And more recently at Knockhill in Scotland, Stilp succeeded in finishing 3rd, then 2nd, and eventual winning the final race of the day, while smashing the Knockhill new track lap record with a super fast time of 1m 01.088s.

He also finished with another trophy for being the Most Improved Driver, with the most places gained on the last race, as being a reversed grid in which Jordan was placed 8th, he had to battle his way back through the pack to win.

Stilp now hits 2nd in the Cup Championship with a further two rounds of three races at Rockingham next week and at Croft in September still to come.

“I’m really enjoying this year in the Mazda Cup Championship, there are some good drivers out there which makes the racing close and exciting,” said Stilp.

“Every race is hard fought for the win as every point counts because it’s very close at the top of the Championship board now.”

After winning the Autumn Championship out right last year in the MK1 with three wins to his name, winning Rooky of the Year 2011 and finishing 3rd in the MK1 Mazda Championship 2011, Stilp said he was looking forward to the challenge of trying to win the Mazda Cup this year.

Placed 2nd in the Ma5da Cup 2012 rankings, there are only seven points between him and the leader.
