The snow had a Teutonic taste for Olympic star Chemmy Alcott, when she headed to the Snozone on Saturday.

Because the five-time British National Champion took on the indoor slope in her Dirndl, the traditional Bavarian outfit, as well as being joined by a group of supporters who were also dressed in traditional German clothes to mark Octoberfest.

And Chemmy also was also on hand to give tips to youngsters giving skiing or snowboarding a go for the first time.

Octoberfest was also celebrated at the Snozone with live music from the Oompah band, while there were German delights on offer including schnitzel and delicious Alpine beverages and local ales.
