Cherry on top with singles win

THE Milton Keynes Table Tennis League’s mid-season tournament took place at the Kingston Centre on Sunday.

The results were as follows. Handicap Singles: Alan Cherry beat Neil Riddy.

Pot Luck Doubles; Dave Murphy and Simon Green beat Craig Brown and Bernard Green.

Hard bat singles: Alan Cherry beat Dave Wackrill.

Restricted singles: (Nick Warton Trophy) Benjit Dhesi beat Andy Jenkins.

In the league this week, Shenley Sharpshooters moved to the top of Division Four and level with OU Falcons after a 9-1 victory over MK Cavaliers. Shailendra Singh and Daniel Sawkiewicz won all their games for Sharpshooters.

Woburn Sands Rams lost their first game of the season in Division Seven to St Christopher Crunchers, with Jean Mayson winning a treble for Crunchers.

Division Four: Mursley Meths 7-3 Chackmore Wannabes, MK Eagles 5-5 OU Falcons, Shenley Sharpshooters 9-1 MK Cavaliers, Chackmore Hasbeens 8-2 Mursley Swifts.

Division Five: Greenleys Valiants 5-5 Shenley Rockets, Greenleys Dukes 7-3 MK Dons.
