BLETCHLEY & District Swim Club hosted their annual Club Championships recently, with lots of strong performances to start the new swimming season.

For some the Championships prepares them for the start of the new competitive season, and for the younger and a bit less experienced competitive swimmers it’s a great opportunity for practicing their skills, strokes, techniques, dives, starts, finishes and, of course, racing ability.

Bletchley & District Swim Club once again teamed up with Buckingham Swans for this year’s Club Championships which were held over two evenings – the first at Bletchley Leisure Centre and the second at the Aquavale Leisure Centre in Aylesbury.

The results of the competition will be published at the club’s Presentation and Disco evening on February 1. However, the Championships was certainly a big hit with the young swimmers taking part.

Head coach Phil Powell said: “All of our swimmers gave their very best. There was excellent effort from the new swimmers to our long standing swimmers.

“It was great to see that their hard work has resulted in some outstanding results.”
