MMA show should be a knockout

MORE than 200 mixed martial arts fans are expected to turn out for a Milton Keynes club’s first competitive show next month.

Members of Immortal MMA in Bradwell Abbey specialise in a number of different combat sport disciplines, with Muay Thai fights the main focus of the club’s debut show at Woughton Leisure Centre on December 15.

Established by Darren Ward in September last year, the club already boasts excellent training facilities, including a 20ft cage and 18ft boxing ring, with several instructors providing a wide range of mixed martial arts opportunities for adults and children as young as four-years-old.

Only this year have the club’s fighters started to compete at a serious level, but already their achievements have brought a wide range of national title belts.

Linton Vassel is the current British light heavyweight champion in MMA, while Jordan Duncan-Kolcak is a Bikma English champion in Muay Thai and Tony Wilson is the Ultimate Gladiator champion in K1 kickboxing.

As well as young people, the club also caters of women, and at just 13 years of age, Bee Duncan-Kolcak has already collected an impressive haul of medals and trophies.

Building on that sort of success, the club hopes to get bigger and better in the years ahead – starting by picking up some of the International Sport Kickboxing Association (ISKA) titles that will be up for grabs at the ‘Rising Champions’ show next month.
