Phoenix downed for the first time

THERE were a few interesting results in Division One of the Milton Keynes Table Tennis League in the last week, including MK Phoenix losing their first game of the season 8-2 to Greenleys Eagles.

Geoff Calloway and Barry Bishop both won three games for Eagles, while MK Tornadoes won their first game against OU Pavilion 7-3.

In the top of the table clash in Division Two, MK Bandits drew 5-5 with MK Hydra as Mike Scott won all three games for Hydra.

Woburn Sands Mosquitoes edged ahead of Newport Pagnell Lagondas in Division Three with a 6-4 victory, leaving the victors one point behind OU Dragons.

Chackmore Hasbeens had a good 6-4 win against Chackmore Wannabes in Division Four, with Chris Whitehead achieving a maximum for Hasbeens.

The top of the table clash between Greenleys Moghuls and Woburn Sands Rams in Division Seven ended in a 5-5 draw as Azhad Khimani won all three games for Moghuls.
