200,000 rugby fans expected in 2015

Leader of Milton Keynes Council, Councillor Andrew Geary, says the city will be well prepared for an estimated 200,000 visitors during the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Stadium:mk will stage three group stage matches in October 2015 – the biggest of which will see France take on either the USA or Canada.

Mr Geary insists the council has budgeted well for the event – the third biggest in world sport – and believes the city will benefit hugely from the influx of rugby fans from home and abroad.
