Two Rugby World Cup sides will call Milton Keynes their home during the tournament next year.
Fiji and Samoa will be based in the town, making use of facilities at Bletchley Leisure Centre and Woughton on the Green in their preparation.
The team bases will consist of an outdoor pitch, indoor training facility, a swimming pool, gym and hotel and will be utilised by the competing teams in the lead up to and during the six week event.
Councillor Hannah O’Neill Deputy Leader of Milton Keynes Council said “It will be an honour to welcome both national squads from Fiji and Samoa to Milton Keynes.
“To have such iconic rugby nations using Milton Keynes as a base truly shows our sporting ambition.”
