A severe injury to Milton Keynes winger Jake Ronaldson forced their game with Royal Wootton Basset into an early conclusion.
Ronaldson suffered a double break in his leg, forcing the game to be halted in the second half.
Injuries were already playing their part in the game, with City sending a severely under-strength squad to Wiltshire for the game.
Ronaldson’s 61st minute injury prompted both sides to agree into cancellation, with Bassett coming out on top 85-3.
The result leaves City second from bottom in 11th in Southern Counties North with just one point from their opening five games this season.
Ronaldson had surgery in hospital on Sunday, and was able to return to Milton Keynes on Tuesday.
