MK dispatch Thatcham to move out of drop zone

Milton Keynes climbed out of the Southern Counties North relegation zone courtesy of a 31-26 win over Thatcham.

The victory is City’s first since October 1, having gone on a four-match losing streak which saw them fall into the bottom two.

However, Saturday’s win lifted them outside the bottom two, though a penalty for Gosford All Blacks for fielding an unregistered player saw them suffer a five point drop, dropping them to the foot of the table, and would have moved MK out of the danger zone.

But with a five point cushion now between City and rivals Bletchley, it gives them some much-needed breathing space.

MK travel to take on Aylesbury this Saturday.
