Despite being without six regulars, Olney looked in total control in their comfortable 23-8 win over Stewarts & Lloyds.
Brandon Kerr kicked Olney into a seventh minute lead, but the scores were levelled up eight minutes later when Stewarts kicked level.
Olney extended their lead on the half hour mark. Jim Osborn threw in to Ross Stewart, at the front of the line, who returned it to Osborn to slip through the cover and touchdown for 8-3.
Olney stretched their legs once more before the break, with Osborn touching down in the corner to make it 13-3 at half time.
The home side continued on the front foot into the second half, and it wasn’t long before they extended their lead further, with Brandon Kerr selling the dummy to go over to open the gap to 18-3.
Kerr went over again shortly afterwards to put the icing on the cake for Olney, scoring his second and Olney’s fourth as their lead extended to 23-3.
Having survived a 10 minute stint in the sin bin, Stewarts’ scrum half was rejuvenated and ran half the length of the field to score a consolation try towards the end, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Olney running out 23-8 winners.
