Olney cruise to victory as Bletchley Ladies beat rivals

Olney remain fifth in Midlands 2 East South after a comfortable 38-10 win over Stamford.

First half tries from Kane Russell, Harry James and Phil Bowden saw Olney race into a 19-0 lead at the interval.

A frantic 20 minute spell at the start of the second half saw Olney race to a 38 point advantage, with Cam Keenan, another from Bowden and one from Hamish Bull.

As Olney made a string of changes late on, Stamford ran in two unconverted tries to reduce the arrears.

Bletchley suffered an embarrassing 98-0 thumping at the hands of Bicester and remain bottom of Southern Counties North, while MK were also well beaten, going down 44-3 to Wallingford.

There was better news for Bletchley Ladies though as they beat neighbours Olney 61-3.

Caroline Collie ran in four tries, and Georgie Green scored a hat-trick for Bletchley, while Beth Metcalf, Jennie Davies and Rachael Taylor (2) completed the rout for the home side.
