CMK Swim Club has enjoyed a successful start to the season with outstanding performance at all levels.

The South East Winter Regional Short Course Champs were held in Portsmouth. CMK’s champions were Tom Flaherty (Mens 200m and 400m Freestyle) Isobel Jones (Womens 800m Freestyle) and Max Murphy (Junior Mens 200m Free).

All three swimmers were selected to represent SE England in Geneva, Switzerland, in January.

Other swimmers who enjoyed podium success were Marcus Johnson (Junior 1500m Free) and Lucy Farmer (Junior Backstroke events).

The following weekend CMKSC had an important round of the National Arena League.

The team out-performed two higher ranked teams to make the Regional final for the ninth year. Aiyana Lawson, Jack Edwards, Oliver Lines, Max Murphy, Lucy Farmer and Isobel Jones all performed brilliantly.

There were also wins for the Senior Mens and Womens Freestyle teams in the last two events.

Swimmers are now preparing for the Arena League final and National Short Course championships this month, plus looking ahead to the County Champs in Aylesbury in January.
