Video: Barnet 0-2 MK Dons

MK Dons stay top of the table after a comfortable win over 10-man Barnet.

Two goals in the space of four first half minutes from Alan Navarro and Lloyd Dyer gave Dons victory.

It is an important win for Paul Ince's men with Hereford, Darlington and Peterborough all picking up wins.

Barnet had Michael Leary sent off just before the break and have now lost their last five.

The Bees will probably argue that luck didn't go there way in the first half, Cliff Akurang scuffed several chances Albert Adomah blasted over with an open goal gaping and Adam Birchall had a scrappy goal disallowed for offside before Dons did take the lead.

It was a goal of quality on 14 minutes as Drissa Diallo laid the ball back to Navarro who rifled an unstoppable shot past Rob Beckwith from 25-yards.

Then still shocked to be behind Dons took advantage and doubled their lead four minutes later.

Kevin Gallen spread the ball out superbly to Dyer who dribbled inside and hit a screamer into the postage stamp of the right corner.

It was pretty much all Dons from then and Dyer should have doubled the lead on the half-hour mark when he got on to Dean Lewington's clever free-kick but he just shot wide with just Beckwith to beat.

The game then erupted on the stroke of half-time when Michael Leary was shown a straight red for an elbow on Keith Andrews.

Andrews reacted furiously to the foul and had to be held back by several players and manager Paul Ince.

Dons made one change at the break with Colin Cameron brought on for Alan Navarro, perhaps wary that both central midfielders had been booked.

There was little quality in the opening exchanges as both teams cancelled each other out.

It took until the 69th minute for either side to create a chance.

Substitute John Miles did well down the left and crossed for Dyer whose shot into the ground was palmed over.

Minutes later Birchall pounced when Danny Swailes and Sean O'Hanlon had a catastrophic mix-up but he shot straight at the legs of Willy Gueret.

Then on 77 minutes Cameron had a great chance when Miles again done well and squared for the Scotsman who somehow blasted over from 10-

yards.

The chances were now flowing for the Dons and Andrews was the next culprit as he blasted over from close-range after Dyer squared for him.

Then in a hat-trick of bad misses with just minutes left Cameron's shot was somehow toed wide by Beckwith after a dangerous Dyer cross
