Crowds flock in for annual Great Linford bash
Thousands of people enjoyed the fantastic Waterside Festival at the weekend against the backdrop of the impressive Great Linford Manor.
Around 10,000 visited the event over the three days and were treated to a number of great live music acts as well as dance shows and a dog show.
Players from the Milton Keynes Dons also showed their support as the weather played its part in making sure the event was a complete success.
Chair of the Waterside Committee, Deborah Cooper, said: "It was wonderful, a really excellent event. It was so nice to see a range of people from the community pull together and show their support. So far I have heard nothing but positive comments.
"We tried to involve young people in the organising and volunteering and I would like to say how lovely it was to work with a number of partners including MK Artworks, the local church, the Nags Head pub and St John Ambulance. Special thanks as well should go to the Manor for allowing us to hold the event there again."
Around 50 volunteers gave up a total of almost 1000 hours in volunteering over the weekend and a number of the live bands even played for free.
