Glorious sunshine tempted the crowds to watch the world famous Olney Pancake Race.
Hundreds lined the streets of the market town as they say 42-year-old mum Andrea Brear complete the 415-yard course in one minute, nine seconds.

Keen runner Andrea said she thorougly enjoyed the race, despite some blustery conditions.

It is not yet known if her time was good enough to beat runners in Liberal, Kansas.

Legend has it that the Olney race started in 1445, when an harassed housewife, rushing to be on time for church, arrived at the service still clutching her frying pan with a pancake in it.
