Suite Melodies from marvellous Manus

Manus Noble

Manus Noble

LET the Milton Keynes City Orchestra whisk you off on an eclectic journey, visiting the best and most memorable pieces of classical music on Saturday.

Founder conductor Hilary Davan Wetton will guide the orchestra through a variety of melodies that you will remember long after you leave the auditorium.

Suite Melodies will comprise Bridge: Suite for String Orchestra, Warlock: Capriol Suite, Holst: St Paul’s Suite and Vivaldi: Guitar Concerto – or just some beautiful pieces of music for those who are not music boffins.

Multi-award winning guitarist Manus Noble, right, will perform as a featured soloist.

Manus is one of the most exciting guitarists of today’s generation and since studying at the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, this talented musician has regularly performed throughout the UK and abroad.

Suite Melodies will excite and entertain from 7.30pm at Stantonbury Campus Theatre. Call MK 558311.

NEW CHILDREN’S CHOIR

A NEW children’s choir launches at the Church of Christ the Cornerstone tomorrow evening.

The harmonious meeting will be open to all youngsters aged between seven and 15 years.

Participants will ‘use a wide range of repertoire from various sources to foster the enjoyment of singing and engage natural musical skills,’ says the Church’s director of music Adrian Boynton, who will host the 45 minute sessions.

Things will tune up tomorrow evening from 7pm in the small hall at Cornerstone.

For more information on the sessions call 07961 348697.
