The public will be invited to contribute to artwork in the new Kingston Library, which will be displayed on glass panels inside the building.
On May 17, glass artist, Claudia Phipps, will be leading a drop-in session to share her ideas for the commissioned artwork which is to be installed in the new library.
Claudia is planning free hands-on activities – for people of all ages - for the design which she hopes will lead to generating creative ideas for the artwork. It will also be an opportunity for the public to be updated on the opening of the library. Work will start shortly on the internal fit-out of the new library, which is expected to open in Autumn 2014.
