Stables gig for Deb
Remember that already legendary Led Zeppelin reunion in London last year?

A few thousand tickets up for grabs and some 20 million applicants. Incredible. The musical world and his wife wanted to go, but you probably made do by digging out your Zep classics and reliving the vibe in your living room.

One lady who would have had no problems getting in, though, is Deborah Bonham.

Sister of Zep drummer John Bonham and aunt to his son Jason, Deborah is just another branch from the stupendously talented Bonham tree, and on Friday night, she comes to The Stables in Wavendon to give a performance that is naturally big on style, but equally big on genre – taking us from the blues and soul to hard rock and English folk.

Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks are regular comparisons made, but Deborah cites Maggie Bell as her main influence.

There is a new album in the can, and in the racks for you to taste.

Duchess came out last week and features guest appearances from Jason, and the legendary voice that is Paul Rodgers, who speaks sweetly of his creative pal: "I am touched by her sweet nature and her warm and wicked singing and writing talent," he says.

A special performance by a special lady, and at a smart price too – just £12.50.

From a fantastic singer to...Three Billy Goats Gruff & Other Furry Tails! On Saturday afternoon (2pm), we expect the venue to be descended on by parents accompanying their offspring to a show by the Theatre of Widdershins.

Do you really know what happened to the wolf and the three little pigs? What of Goldilocks? And how did those three Billy Goats Gruff really deal with the nasty troll?

Let this performance explain all with some fabulous use of props and puppets.

Perfect entertainment for little mites aged three years and up, and their parents. Tickets are £6.50 for children, £8 for adults (or take a family ticket for £26).

Comedian Brendon Burns – a 2007 winner of The If.Comedy Award – will move in for the evening with his new show Under Educated.

Strange, but true: Brendon was once banned from BBC TV for snogging a goat live on air...wonder if he'll be at the afternoon show?!

Also on Saturday, but over on Stage 2, Afterspark will show up and play out, delivering material from their debut album Sometimes We Forget. Join the Brighton-based twosome from 8.45pm.

The Rock Experience Concert – the culmination of work by performers who have thrown themselves into five weeks of workshops – will roll from 7.30pm on Sunday, to be introduced by Pete Helmsey, and then Tuesday and Wednesday night is booked up by 10CC.

You know the hits – smashes like I'm Not In Love, Dreadlock Holiday and The Things We Do For Love – now go hear them by those who created 'em. You'll need to split with a balance busting £35, mind.

For more information, or to book for any of these shows, call those friendly folks at the box office on MK 280800.
