Booking opens for new season
Credit Cards at the ready, theatre lovers – booking opens on Thursday for the autumn season of events at MK Theatre.

The Citizen forecast that Henry Winkler would take the lead in this year's panto Peter Pan, which was of course confirmed a couple of weeks back. But aside from the Fonz in the vicinity, you can look forward to everything from Madness music to soprano Lesley Garrett and pretty much everything in between!

Our House (the Madness Musical, Sept 1 to 6) will star Steve Brookstein (former X-Factor winner) and Gwyneth Strong (Rodney's better half in Only Fools and Horses) in a piece described as "hilarious, touchingly romantic and emotionally-charged", while Susan Hampshire returns in the elegant and entertaining comedy The Circle (Sept 9 to 13).

There is a return also for the classic West Side Story (Sept 16 to 27) and Tim Rice and Lloyd Webber's new production of Evita will play too (Sept 29 to Oct 11).

Making it even more of a must-see is the lady in the role of the iconic Eva Peron – it's local lass Louise Dearman.

If you can't get enough of the musicals, then you'll be a frequent visitor to the venue: Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel is also up for a spin (Oct 13 to 18).

Three million people have already seen The Woman In Black, and if you fancy joining them for the gripping drama, this is the season to do it – this adaptation of Susan Hill's novel visits us between Oct 20 and 25.

Kids will be catered for too, with We're Going On A Bear Hunt (Oct 23 to 25) and the world premiere of Flashdance – The Musical (Oct 27 to Nov 1) will doubtless cause an increase in leg-warmer sales over at MK market!

Also on the menu? The Royal Shakespeare Company with Romeo and Juliet, Glyndebourne on Tour and Michael Frayn's Noises Off (Nov 10 to 15).
Book on 0870 060 6652, pop in and book (or simply to collect a hot-off-the-press new season brochure) or go online to www.miltonkeynestheatre.com
