Collectormania's who's who of sci-fi

IT'LL be a sci-fi fan's idea of heaven – mingling with stars from TV shows like Star Wars, Doctor Who, Heroes and Torchwood – and the opportunity will present itself tomorrow with the return of Collectormania.
Middleton Hall will be awash with celebrities and memorabilia from the industry at this event, Collectormania 13!
With it being the bank holiday weekend, you get four days to meet and greet your favourite actors and actresses, and purchase all kinds of collectables – from posters and T-shirts to Top Trumps cards, from pictures to life-sized cardboard cut-outs and masks, and from ornaments to film set originals – heck even a replica light sabre.
Whatever film and TV goodies you want, you'll not find a more likely place to seek them out than here, among the 300 stalls!
So, who have organisers secured the services of this time around? We've already given you one of 'em on the cover of Go! – star of Dr Who and Torchwood, John Barrowman will be scribbling for you, as will Lea Thompson, who was one of the stars in the Back To The Future film trilogy.
James Marsters from Buffy The Vampire Slayer is coming along and June Whitfield, whose comedy capers have spanned Terry and June to Ab Fab and a zillion other brilliant bites, will pull up a pew and sign for you.
Remember Tony Hancock's famous Blood Donor performance? Miss Whitfield was the nurse... and let's not forget her Carry On capers or her time in Last of the Summer Wine.
She has 'been there' and done it all, and while it's not polite to mention a lady's age, when you look as good as June does at 82 years old, it's something to shout about!
Leslie Phillips is making his return to the new city event, as is Dave 'Darth Vader' Prowse.
Other names to look out for include Kelly Stables (from cult horror flicks The Ring 1 and 2), Exorcist star Linda Blair and Tawny Cypress (Heroes), and there are loads more.
Get all of the latest news and bill additions (and news of the Collectormania Party, featuring a live set by James Marsters) by clicking across to www.collectormania.com
Remember, not all stars will be signing all days, and a fee will be charged to collect the squiggle of your favourite actor(s), but it is absolutely free to peruse the event itself.
