Distinguished guests at theatre
Milton Keynes City Orchestra presents The High Sheriff's Concert at Milton Keynes Theatre this Sunday evening, with some distinguished guests showing out to soak up the delightful sounds of our exceptional musical collective.

"I am honoured that the opening concert of the season will be performed in the presence of His Royal Highness the Duke of Kent under the baton of the new principal conductor Sian Edwards and will be the debut of Milton Keynes' own Craig Greene," commented the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Peter Thorogood.

The programme will feature pieces by Verdi (Overture Mabucco), Beethoven (Piano Concerto No 3) and Tchaikovsky (Symphony No 5), and those of you purchasing tickets to the prestigious event will be simultaneously supporting a couple of wonderful causes while indulging your artistic passions.

"The concert is dedicated to thanking all those who give their unstinting support to charitable works throughout our community, and is in aid of two Buckinghamshire charities – Milton Keynes' Community Foundation and the Buckinghamshire Foundation," explained the High Sheriff.

Tickets start at £10 and rise to £28 for the concert. You can book them directly from the MKCO on MK 558311 or via the MK Theatre box office on 0870 070 6652.

A pre-concert talk – which will be held in the auditorium from 6.30pm – is free to concert ticket holders, you simply need to arrive in plenty of time.
