Debut UK tour kicks off at The Stables
Jason Manford has been described as a 'naturally funny performer'.
Nothing exceptional about that, when you know that Jason is a comedian.

But think again, how many of today's funny men and women are NATURALLY funny?

More often than not, acts are far fetched and, well, they try too hard, don't they?

Which actually puts Jason way ahead of the pack.

And seemingly those with the power to dish out gongs agree – Jason has a stack of awards to his name.

A former host of Xfm's Manchester Breakfast Show, he is currently serving up the funnies on Channel Four's Nightly Show, and let's not forget his actions as team captain on 8 Out Of 10 Cats.

Peter Kay thinks he is 'very funny' while Johnny Vegas goes one better, calling Manford 'hilarious'.

Join the man on his debut show of his debut UK tour at the Stables on Thursday.

Let's give him a cracking start to his mammoth 60 date trek, eh? Tickets will set you back £14.

>> A brilliant raconteur, Henry Blofied takes the lead on Friday night, with a chat about his life and those people he has met on his travels.

Expect to hear stories from a truly varied bunch of characters too – from The Queen to Clive Dunn and man of the moment Boris Johnson.
Join the cricket commentator for 'a quintessentially English evening' from 8pm. Tickets are £17.50.

>> A familiar face – and voice – returns to the Wavendon house of cool on Saturday, and this time Eliza Carthy (the second gen of musical marvel from the Carthy-Waterson stable) is bringing her band the Ratcatchers with her.

Responsible for revitalising folk music, this weekend she'll revitalise your ears too. Tickets are £17.50.

>> The welcome return of Jazz Matters are ahead on Sunday between 11.30am and 1pm. For those who fancy a natter about the genre...

>> Pop home for a Sunday afternoon snooze, or a hefty portion of Yorkshire pudding and gravy (and then a snooze?), and then make your way back to the haunt for 8pm and you'll hear the Piccadilly Dance Orchestra who will take you back to the Art Deco era with songs from Cole Porter and the Gershwin Brothers...it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing? There's no need for worries in that department with this lot, trust us!

>> Lastly for this week on Tuesday, Alec Dankworth brings his Spanish accents collective to play for you. Metheny, Corea and even Rodrigo are reinvented alongside traditional folk songs and originals in Flamenco rhythms creating a wonderful and genuinely Spanish world. If only we had the weather to match...

Tickets for this pedigree performer are on sale now at £15.

Call the box office with all of your requirements on MK 280800.
