IF I hadn't stumbled (not literally, mind) across the man with THAT legendary long tongue and hadn't been blown upside down by classic rock 'n' roll masters like Strutter, Deuce and I Love It Loud, then it is debatable whether I would even be writing City Nights today.

Kiss are to blame for my teenage years taking a decidedly off-kilter turn, and though we mightn't kneel at the Simmons-Stanley altar these days, we do still have a special place in our musical heart for the platform-wearing scary-looking types, who back in the day used to slap on more make-up for a gig than your average beauty counter possibly stocks!

Kiss, of course, are confirmed as one of this summer's headliners at the Download Festival, but if you want a fix now, you'll get none nearer the real thing than a night out with Dressed To Kill, who have been paying musical homage to the real deal since 1991!

These chaps don't just sound like your Yankee rock lords, they look like 'em too, don't you reckon?

For your information, they wear custom-made costumes from Kiss' super-popular Lovegun years of '77 and '78, have a repertoire of more than 100 tracks from which to delve into, and Kiss are long famed for their use of on-stage explosions... Dressed To Kill won't fall short of the mark there, either.

You wanted the best, and tomorrow night, you'll get it when the band returns to The Pitz.

Tickets are £8 and doors open at 7.30pm. Support is coming from Godsacksman... love it loud! Call with bookings on MK 660392.
