Welcome return to Buddha Blue
The last time that he came through the doors of Buddha Blue, DJ Ironik was just launching his career.
He returns on Friday night as one of most important successes of 2008, with a Top 5 single under his belt (the 'chipmunk' smash Stay With Me) and a fan base of simply gargantuan proportion – that's what happens when you successfully straddle the line between R&B, Grime, Pop and Hip
Hop, and offer something fresh to the market place.
Stay With Me was penned by Ironik for his younger sister – fuelled by his fear for her growing up in a society rife with knife crime and violence. One national newspaper dubbed the track 'The Anthem for Broken Britain'.
"Ironik has taken the UK by storm this year, his music is fantastic and he has made a huge success of himself at a young age through sheer hard work," commented Robin Lyle, GM at Buddha Blue. "I think this makes Ironik a great inspiration to up and coming artists in Milton Keynes."
One of those from these parts who is already aiming high is F-Tizzle and he's bagged the support slot at Friday's date, so if you are going, be sure to get there early doors for a slice of fine grime.
A hefty turn-out is expected, and tickets can be booked by calling up MK 241243.
Isn't that Ironik? Yup...
>> He started his career as a DJ aged 13 at Twice As Nice parties. His talent was spotted quickly and he soon began playing at parties across Europe.

>> His self-produced videos are just as popular on Youtube – a DJ Ironik search produces pages of posts that have totalled 5 million views!
>> The remix to Stay With Me features his label-mate Wiley, of Wearing My Rolex fame.
