GLENYS Evans' play Full Circle continues its tour of these isles this week, stopping off for a date at our newest theatre, Chrysalis, at Camphill.

Inspired by the true story of Andrew Williams – a man with Down's Syndrome who climbed Mount Everest back in 1996 – this delivery is a moving, heartwarming story delivered with unpatronising staging.

It is a tale about personal challenges, determination and drive – things that affect us all.

A young Welshman has the dream to conquer Everest – enough of a challenge for even the strongest, we'd have thought. But this young man is in poor physical condition, housebound and with learning difficulties. His over-protective mother is far from keen on the ambition.

But friends rally, both with practical assistance and encouragement. Funds are raised and our determined central character is sent to the Himalayas with an Outward Bound group, managing to reach the Everest base camp at a staggering 17,500 ft.

Hijinx are the ones responsible for the production, but this particular tour isn't the first time that Full Circle has been played out – back in 200,3 critical acclaim was poured on the piece.

Small surprise to see it back for a second run, then.

Full Circle will play on Friday night from 7.30pm. Tickets are £5 and £8. Purchase in advance from the Camphill MK Cafe, or buy on the door.
