THOSE of you who pay close attentions to local theatre happenings won't fail to remember the success that was Kiss Me Kate, and now the company that put that to the stage are coming back with another corker of a production.

From Tuesday, Milton Keynes Amateur Operatic Society will be rolling out performances of Children Of Eden on the Stantonbury Campus Stage.
First performed in 1991, Children of Eden – from the pen of Stephen Schwartz, the same talent responsible for Godspell and Wicked – is based on the Genesis stories of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah and the Flood.

It offers a fresh look at families, relationships and letting go... not to mention world-creation and world destruction!

This family musical is one awash with drama, colour and fun, but it's moving too. We are sure that each and every company member has given their all to doing justice to this piece, and giving you – their audience – a cracking delivery in exhange for your cash, but we should maybe give special mention to choreographer Julian Ratnage who has had to work on everything from a soft-shoe shuffle-style American Smooth routing for a six-part snake to a barnstorming gospel number.

As ever MKAOS have put the effort in. Here's hoping that you go snap up a ticket and take advantage of their hard work.

The show will run through to Saturday (May 10) with showings at 7.30pm nightly, and an additional matinee at 2.15pm on the Saturday. Tickets are £14 (£12 for concessions).

Call the Children of Eden box office on 07765 084 193.
