There is still plenty of time to head to FRINGEMKs exhibition spaces in Midsummer Place and make acquaintance with two totally different, but engrossing pieces
Project Space One is currently hosting Phoresis - paintings and sculpture by artist Nicholas Wright, and his deliveries are in response to the excessive consumerism and television gluttony of modern culture.

"I am interested in how television as an icon can be used to subvert its own cause.

The work subverts and shows the truly unreal nature of what we watch on the idiot box," Nicholas explains.

Meantime on the second space dedicated to art in the central area, a photographic delivery by Lauren Clemmet is temporarily housed.

Two steps forward, one step forward, one step back is a documentation of the time, recovery and the regaining of identity after suffering from a serious illness.

She began the poignant, striking work at 18 alongside her chemotherapy.
The five portraits were taken a year apart: "It is a documentary photographic piece of how I have changed and moved on from when I was seriously ill four years ago," Lauren says.

"In hindsight it is a recognition that you can get past situations which lie outside of your own control and move forward with your life."
A stunning delivery by a brave lady.
