Dr Longitude and his strange travelling players tell mesmerising stories of wit, virtue and courageous endeavours, in this free show packed with vaudeville acts, live musicians and puppeteers. Saturday 11.40am and 2.15pm, Sunday 11.15am and 1.55pm.

A second show, Fantastical Flying Exploratory Laboratory (UK) sees Dr Latitude and her team of misguided misfits set off on a global quest, discovering incredible and entirely fictitious new lands, tribes, flora and fauna.

In Theatre of Widdershins’ storytelling show, beautifully-crafted puppets skilfully bring to life a series of magical stories including The Princess and the Pea, The King with the Dirty Feet, The Fisherman and the Djinni and Stone Soup.

Performances are at 11.30am, 1pm, 2.30pm and 4pm. The free show lasts 40 minutes.

FREE CRAFT WORKSHOPS

MK Arts Centre, July 22 and 23

Workshops for children aged six to 12 and their families.

July 22: Inspired by traditional Nigerian parables and African fabrics, children will print on to tote bags.

July 23: Based on Nigerian potter Ladi Kwali’s work, kids will decorate ceramics with African motifs and animals. Workshops are from 10.30am to noon.

WOBURN BUGGY SAFARI

Woburn Farm, Millbrook, July 23

Woburn Farm opens its doors to the public, giving you the chance to experience off-road racing at the wheel of some serious all-terrain buggies.

Adults and teenagers (12 years and over, height restrictions apply) can race. Younger riders aged seven and over can take on the mini-quad adventure.
