A diverse set from self-proclaimed ‘progressive pop rock band’ Less Than Human is on offer at The Stables this month.
Childhood friends Danny Barton, Sam Graham, Will Norman and Tom Norman from Bedfordshire are joined by Therese Ramstedt to entertain crowds as their band goes from strength to strength following last year’s huge success.
They were the winners of both the judges vote and the crowd vote at the 2013 Majick Music Group Beds, Herts and Bucks battle of the bands and the musicians are now preparing to battle it out again in July.
“I see this gig as the most important of my life to be honest,” says Less Than Human’s front man Danny.
“An hour and a half full show of my own songs is an incredible opportunity,
“We have the grand final of the Majick Music Group battle of the bands at Camden Barfly on July 19 and this is the perfect way to build the set that’s got the best chance of winning us the title.”
Less Than Human are taking to stage at The Stables (stage two) on Saturday, June 21 from 8.45pm with tickets priced at £10 if bought in advance or £12 on the door.
The songwriter added: “Seeing ‘Less Than Human’ on the list up against amazing names, from a wonderful array of artistic worlds: comedy, family shows and just about any musical genre you can pin down, is incredible.
“The Stables can get some big names, but at the same time were willing to take a chance on a little known local band just because they liked the sound they made and wanted more people to have the chance to hear it.
“For that I’m humbled and very grateful.”
