PICK up a copy of this month’s issue of Classic Rock Magazine, the bible for those of us partial to all things of a decidedly hard and heavy nature, and you’ll find a terrific feature with our own city rock titan, Mr Del Bromham.

For the past four decades his band Stray have been spreading the rock, and they have influenced a terrific amount of players along the way.

Stray have an avid fanbase who have stuck by them forever, but still, that feature must have put a smile on your face, eh Del?

“It has come out well, and in a paper like that it does get you more kudos,” he said.

“It’s funny and ironic that in the 70s the bands who supported us and were influenced by us are artists like Motorhead and Iron Maiden – and they have got features either side of ours in the magazine!”

“We are getting plenty of interest and not just from the old school,” Del added.

“We are getting lots of younger people coming onboard too.”

Stray’s current album Valhalla is now on full release and can be ordered through Play.com and Amazon, or go to iTunes.
