A dance festival that was expected to bring thousands of revellers to Willen Lake has been cancelled, less than a month after it was rescheduled because of low ticket sales.
Dreamscape was originally set to take place at The Bowl this Saturday, and feature more than 200 world famous performers. However, it was rescheduled in July when organisers admitted they had not sold sufficient tickets.
On Tuesday ESP Promotions announced on Facebook that the event was being cancelled altogether.
The statement said: “Due to some of the artists and DJ schedules, many of who are now unable to perform at Willen Lake and the timelines needed to oversee the event changes required to move to another event site, we feel it’s in the interest of the attending public that we reschedule for a 2015 show and refund the 2014 event ticket holders over the coming weeks.
“We deeply and sincerely apologie to all those who had supported this year’s event and purchased tickets in advance. We hope that those who have been looking forward to this reunion event will understand that it’s been a very difficult decision to make.
“However we would not want to present an event unless we can deliver the advertised programme for the day and maintain the promise of a great show.”
ESP Promotions has promised to refund all ticket holders. This may take up to 28 days depending on how tickets were bought.
