Milton Keynes musicians and music fans came together to raise funds for Headway MK at the weekend.
Saturday’s Frag-Jam event, at The Prince Albert Pub in Bradwell Village. was held in memory of Martin Coates, or Fraggle to his friends, who passed away in 2009.
Headway MK offers support and advice to people aged 18 and over who have head injuries.
“I would like to thank everyone who got involved with Frag-Jam on Saturday,” said Martin’s father John, speaking post-event.
“The musicians and all the people who attended and gave so generously made a fantastic atmosphere that helped to raise £670 for Headway Milton Keynes.
“Any one of us could suffer an acquired brain injury at any time through no fault of their own and the effects can be devastating to both the sufferer and the people close to them.”
>Headway MK is based at York House, Stony Stratford. They hold a meeting every Thursday, where people with acquired brain injuries can meet and socialise.
