STANTONBURY Campus Theatre hosts the second in the series of Chamber Roots concerts by Milton Keynes City Orchestra this Saturday evening.

Join principal conductor Sian Edwards, and soloists Yoshika Masuda on the cello and principal oboist Graham Salter.

The programme will feature music by Mozart, Villa-Lobos, CPE Bach, Albinoni and Piazzolla.

“The orchestra made its home at Stantonbury for more than 20 years, so it is a delight that we are re-establishing a mini series there,” said Hilary Davan Wetton, founder and conductor with the MKCO.

“The size of the theatre enables us to play smaller scale repertoire which will provide a fascinating contrast with the large scale concerts in Milton Keynes,” he added.

The concert will begin at 7.30pm and tickets are on sale at £18.

To book seats call the theatre box office on MK 324422.

>The next concert in the season will be held on May 28, featuring works by Skempton, Mozart and Haydn.
