MY Passion, featuring new city fella Jamie Nicholls, have just inked a new worldwide deal with Spinefarm Records.
The label is the UK home of heavyweights like Children of Bodum and Rammstein, so they are in decidedly good company.
On Monday My Passion unleash their own new beast too, with the release of their second album Inside This Machine.
“The new album is more commercial,” Jamie told City Nights.
“It is heavier, but with the dancier side too, it makes for a really good contrast...”
Speaking to us shortly before recording a Live Lounge session in the Maida Vale studios, Jamie insisted that they now have Radio 1 firmly in their sights, and expect Inside This Machine to push them onto the station’s airwaves in a big way.
Next Thursday, April 21, the band will begin a UK tour, and Jamie will be penning a tour diary just for us, so stay turned for that.
The band has also just confirmed a slot at this summer’s Sonisphere Festival, with plenty more excitement in the offing.
Dante Bonutto from Spinefarm is thrilled with his newbies: “We’re delighted to be working with a band who are so wildly ambitious, both musically and visually,” he said, “Really, you can’t ask for more...”
