THERE Is A Light returns to The Slug & Lettuce this Friday night, with more mixed up sounds than previously, promise organisers.
All of which makes the musical menu even more tasty – with indie, northern soul, electro, new romantic, reggae, rock n roll, acid house and pop all guaranteed to connect with your ears during the evening.
Decade wise? Everything from the sixties onwards is allowed to spin free, so whether Rihanna floats your boat or Jackie Wilson, Kate Bush or The Clash bring the smiles, you’ll get more than a little of what you fancy.
“Snazzy badges featuring our Tom Courtenay logo are free on the door while black and white movies play on the big screens all night,” co-founder Jess Cunliffe told us.
At so many promos, a good night is ruined by a damp squib of an end.
Not so at this one, of course, which will round off with The Smiths absolute classic There Is A Light That Never Goes Out.
Entry is £2 and doors open at 9pm.
