THE stars really will be coming out to play in Newport Pagnell on Saturday – this year’s carnival theme is music legends.

Which means there is every chance that Jacko and Elvis will feature heavily among the floats!

But they won’t be alone – the parade, which leaves Blakelands at midday, snaking its way down through the High Street and on into Riverside Meadow will be buzzing with the carnival court, classic cars, bands and cyclists.

In the Meadow, catch a Devils Horseman Show, dog show, duck race, belly dancers, food stalls and a licensed bar, with plenty more besides.

The field entertainment will roll between 1 and 6pm.

Entry is a quid for adults, 50p for OAPs and the Under 5’s.

>A music festival will run on Sunday, while Silver Street will host the Soap Box Derby.
