THE Parks Trust organised Walking Festival rolls across four days this Bank Holiday weekend, beginning tomorrow, with more than 20 opportunities to go feet first before the end of play on Monday.
It’s a cracking good way to make amends from pigging out on too many choccy eggs last week.
The idea behind the event – organised in association with the MK Ramblers and ReactivateMK – is for city folks to reconnect with some of our beautiful parks...and we really do have a terrific amount of pleasant green spaces to be thankful for.
There are walks suitable for all ages, and if you want to get involved with the spirit of tomorrow’s Royal wedding, why not pair your sneakers with a wedding gown, or let your eyes lead the camera on the photography walk.
The snap-happy occasion is a new addition to the calendar this year, as is Monday’s singles walk.
There are chances to take pooch for a mooch, to learn about Roman history or sample a Nordic Walking taster.
Come on, leave the arm chair for some fresh air and get that blood pumping with some gentle exercise while gaining a new appreciation for the place you call home.
Full details of all the walks, can be found on the Parks Trust website, www.theparkstrust.com
