Fantastic Mr Fox living it up in Campbell Park

ON A balmy summer’s evening (and here’s hoping we get one*), it is nice to gather with friends and family and enjoy a little al fresco dining.

Imagine that as you tuck into your tasty picnic you are entertained by some compelling open air theatre.

And now, imagine no more – The Parks Trust are turning the thought into a reality tomorrow evening, when they bring Ilyria Theatre Company to Campbell Park, for a performance of the Roald Dahl classic, Fantastic Mr Fox.

Brightly coloured costumes and live music will make this as much a treat for the ears as for the eyes.

All you need to do is spread the picnic basket, open the tubs of scrummy bites, pour a glass of something bubbly (cola or cava, it matters not) and let Ilyria loose to entertain you.

Tickets will cost £9 for adults, £6 for kids.

Alternatively splash out £25 for a family of four.

Tickets must be booked in advance, and in 2010 the event sold out – quick; you don’t have long to get sorted.

Purchase online at www.theparkstrust.com or by calling up MK 233600.

*We should say that come rain or shine, Fantastic Mr Fox will play on, so if it’s squishy underfoot, do remember the wellies!
